The Beaudesert Branch
QGR's Beaudesert Branch operated from 1885 to bring agricultural products, timber, etc., to market and to provide access for area residents. The Branch closed in 1996 but reopened as a tourist railway (Beaudesert Rail) with services operating between Logan Village and Beaudesert.
Unfortunately, Beaudesert Rail was plagued by financial problems and in March 2005 the mortgagees in possession were offering all the assets of Beaudesert rail for sale by tender. [Courier Mail, 12 Mar 05, p 48.]
