Australian Sugar Industry Museum, Mourilyan

The 1883 Patent Drive 0-4-2T Fowler locomotive was Mourilyan Mill's first locomotive. Retired in 1924, it was purchased by a Melbourne machinery merchant and overhauled. However it sat idle until purchased by the Goulburn Steam Museum in 1976 and restored to operating order. It was subsequently returned to Mourilyan as a static feature of the museum.
The museum has two display areas, a retail section and a separate storage area for items undergoing maintenance or awaiting display. The Sugar Museum displays 'rural and industrial artefacts, scientific equipment, photographs and oral history material' from the sugar industry. The Sugarama Gallery provides space for community participation, exhibitions and functions.
