Queensland's Rail Heritage in the News

  • Millaquin Sugar Mill: Tamper on the new Pitt's Hill deviation, almost completed mid-June 2008, at top of Ward's Road. Image courtesy Lincoln Driver: 1.
  • New QR 3800 locomotives en route to Australia: 3801 and 3802 on a river barge to Bremerhaven (on the border between Germany and Holland) and readied for loading.Images courtesy Peter Louison and Peter Andrews: 1 - 2 - 3.
  • CLP13 is a Loco attained by QR with its link to ARG, who obtained these locos from Commonwealth Railways when ARG took over from Commonwealth Rail. They have been completely re-built and apparently operate on the Brisbane-Sydney-Melbourne link. Images courtesy Arthur Hayes: 1 - 2.
