Queensland's railways in miniature at the Workshops Museum, Ipswich

Qr's mining operations are represented by an open pit mine, loading facility and unit coal trains.

The museum's large model railway is an obvious attraction for children and adults. Industries included highlight every QR operation from mining (above) to tourism and range from outback to seaport.
    The other images here show the sugar industry as represented on the model layout... cane farm, narrow gauge cane transport to the mill, and QR's bulk sugar trasport to a nearby port.
