Joskeleigh South Sea Islander Museum
Wagon awaiting restoration This museum celebrates South Sea Islander contributions to Queensland, including in the sugar industry at Farnborough (from 1885). It's located in Joskeleigh (near Keppel Sands) and is normally open with a volunteer staff Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am - 4:30 pm. Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only.
A series of research publications, produced in cooperation with the Livingstone Shire Council, and a travelling photographic exhibition supplement the museum's artefacts... like the wagon at right which is awaiting restoration.
