Calliope River Historical Village
Calliope's local history museum is right beside the Bruce Highway near the Calliope River crossing. The museum is open daily and the site is visible from the highway and nearby 24 hour driver facilities, making an interesting stop on long trips.
Railway facilities include a QR coach, two camp wagons and the Yarwun station. The Village is also the home for the Gladstone area live steam modellers, and will soon be the site of the rail museum currently located in Gladstone's freight yard.
