Collaborating to preserve our rail heritage...

Several rail groups from around Queensland met in May 2003 to discuss potential solutions to their public liability insurance dilemma, etc.
These groups have banded together in the Association of Tourist Railways - Queensland (ATRQ) to help solve some of the issues all rail heritage groups currently face.
As well as collaboration on liability insurance, ATRQ members work together on Safety & Training, Advertising, networking, social events, and the general betterment of all railways in Queensland. ATRQ will not be a regulatory body and each member group has an equal input into the association.
Several of the states have also formed the Association of Tourist Railways of Australia for networking and other activities.
Details are on the organisation's own web site. Statement regarding trespassing on QR property (pdf file).
