Collection: QR1007 1st Class Sleeping Car

JCS 1007 Sleeping Car is on loan to Archer Park for the next twelve years to be restored as a static display.

JCS 1007 originally entered service with Queensland Rail in 1921. It worked between Brisbane and Cairns, sleeping sixteen travellers, and later worked on the Dirranbandi Mail.

JCS 1007 was decommissioned in 1992, became part of QR's Heritage Fleet and was to be restored. Because of budget restraints QR sold off some rolling stock, including JCS 1007.

JSC 1007 is on loan from a rail enthusiast in Ipswich and one of our volunteers, an ex-Station Master, worked on the car over fifty years ago as he was beginning his QR career.
