The restored Purrey Steam Tram generally operates every Sunday (except December and January) from 10 am to 1 pm, and on special occasions.
Several times each year Archer Park hosts a number of community organisations and special activities with a 'gold coin' admission. These Carriage Shade Capers are normally the last Sunday of alternate months beginning with February. In 2010 the August 'Capers' will be 15 August.
Special activities typically include displays of military artefacts, blacksmithing, military gaming and railway modelling, woodworking, and rail heritage displays (QldRailHeritage.com, QR, etc.).
Archer Park Station and Steam Tram may be hired for a variety of functions, including weddings, photo shoots, receptions, meetings and promotional activities.
Archer Park's interactive school break programs attract several hundred young people each year: museum program, karaoke, snacks and short tram rides, generally Wednesday during school breaks, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
General meetings of the Society are normally held at 3:30 pm the last Wednesday of every month.
